About Canadian Seal Product

The Canadian Sealers Association (CSA) was formed in 1982 in response to negative publicity against the sealing industry by certain animal rights groups. Based in Atlantic Canada, it was designed to speak for sealers mainly in Newfoundland, Quebec’s North Shore and the Magdalen Islands. Its main objective was to develop a public education and awareness campaign to counter animal rights groups. The CSA represents over 6,000 sealers who are professional fishermen, licensed by the Government of Canada.

What we did

  • Developed a marketplace platform (like Amazon) for manufacturers of Canadian seal products.
  • Design of a transactional website enabling sellers to register and sell their products via the canadiansealproducts.com platform.
  • Implementation of platform operating instructions and merchant policies.
  • Platform management and technical support.

Results

  • The platform has now been launched, enabling manufacturers to sell their products on the Amazon-style marketplace for buyers of Canadian seal products.
